The Old Rectory is a listed building dating from the 16th century standing in mainly walled grounds, a feature of which are the rose beds and various mature trees. The house is well situated to explore East Anglia, being on the Suffolk/Norfolk border. Bury St Edmunds is twelve miles away, the market town of Diss is eight. Cambridge, Ipswich and Norwich are within easy reach.

The house is beautifully furnished and many period features add to the charm of this lovely stylish family home. The luxurious bedrooms have en suite bathrooms. Sarah is a trained cook and Bobby, who has travelled extensively, particularly during his days in the City, offers an interesting and varied wine list. Together they delight in entertaining guests in their beautifully restored home. A no smoking house.

All Saints Church, accessible through a gate in a wall, has a fifteenth century roof with complete figures and some of its' original colouring.

There are many picturesque walks nearby, including Knettishall Heath and Thetford Forest.
Hopton is well situated to explore East Anglia being on the Suffolk/Norfolk border.
Bury St Edmunds, with its' Cathedral is twelve miles away and the market town of Diss is only eight. The famous Bressingham Gardens are even closer.
Ipswich, Norwich and Cambridge are all within easy driving distance.
Newmarket, Fakenham and Huntingdon are well known local racecourses which feature strongly in the owners lives.
